Kindness

If I were to become kindness,
I would soften my voice,
lighten my touch,
pay attention
and listen more.
I would slow down,
be more accepting,
and be more willing
to go the extra mile.
I would smile more,
and hug more,
and…come to think of it,
accept every invitation
to dance.
