We arise each morning
hard-wired by
culture and our humanity
to pursue security
control or applause
and still we wonder why
surrender to the Spirit
must be recycled again
again and again.© 2014 Dennis Ference

yeah!!!!
A very good morning prayer.
Cool!
So true, and personally frustrating.
A real humility generator isn’t it?
Yep.
Each day we have to learn how to live all over again. An excellent and succinct poem full of meaning! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. –Dennis
Yes, and we are bombarded by messages that trip our levers and get those hard-wires humming… Surrender is almost like blindfolding ourselves to the strange light and sounds of this world… Not taking the urgently necessary, neon-blinking bait…
Peace!
Michael
Right. At least we must be hardwired to be able to remind ourselves when we are drifting away from the Spirit. Or else it is pure grace.
Thanks for sharing. A very blessed New Year.
