Hardwired

Sunset 6-5-15 035

We arise each morning
hard-wired by
culture and our humanity
to pursue security
control or applause
and still we wonder why
surrender to the Spirit
must be recycled again
again and again.

  1. Each day we have to learn how to live all over again. An excellent and succinct poem full of meaning! Thank you for sharing!

  2. Yes, and we are bombarded by messages that trip our levers and get those hard-wires humming… Surrender is almost like blindfolding ourselves to the strange light and sounds of this world… Not taking the urgently necessary, neon-blinking bait…

    Peace!
